How It Works

Collagen is what keeps your skin young and healthy. As we age, that collagen begins to break down, causing wrinkles, lines, and sagging skin. Ultherapy® helps increase collagen, which increases elasticity and skin strength. Ultherapy® uses an ultrasound technology that generates a thermal effect under the skin, causing your body to begin producing new collagen on it’s own. It targets the exact area, delivering the right amount at the right temperature.

What To Expect

For your first appointment, our doctors will assess your skin and areas of concern and verify that you are a good candidate for Ultherapy®. You won’t have to worry about a skin care regimen before the procedure or after. We may suggest a few recommendations just to make sure you are completely comfortable and relaxed.

After your consultation appointment, we will begin by cleansing the skin and identifying the problematic areas. Then we apply the ultrasound gel and place the applicator on your skin. Next, we customize your treatment to be sure we are targeting specific locations that will be beneficial to your end result. During the treatment you may feel slight tingling or heat, which means the activation of the collagen-building process has started. Your procedure time will vary depending on the treatment area.

After your non-invasive procedure, go about your normal day! No, we’re serious. There’s no downtime, no recovery, just a little flushed and possibly swollen skin directly after the treatment but other than that, you can resume your daily activities.

Possible Side Effects

While none of the after effects of Ultherapy® are harmful, there are some effects that you should be aware of including flushed, swollen, tender, or red skin.
